Jordan Simpkin Racing

It was an impressive year in 2011 for Jordan Simpkin from Cambridge, moving up from Minitwins in 2010 to Stock Sport 600's with BMCRC in 2011. With a steep learning curve to overcome Jordan has become 2011 MRO Stock Sport 600 champion.

Jordan Simpkin Racing is proud to announce he will be entering the 2012 Metzeler Super Stock 600's with the British Super Bikes. With backing from Houghton Homes and Go Racing Developments 2012 will be one to watch.

My name is Jordan Simpkin, born 1994, Cambridge born and bred, with the backing of my parents I have been racing since 2007.
I began my career on minimotos which I raced for 2 years. The first year was in the junior championship in which I finished 2nd. The following year was the senior championship in which I finished 1st.

2009 - After spending two years on minimotos I moved upto Bemsee / MRO Superteens. Entering the championship #66 as a rookie my best result of the year was a 2nd place, I finished 2nd in the rookie championship and 7th overall in MRO Superteens. I ended the season happy with my achievement on the Aprilia RS125.

2010 - Things really took off for me when I entered my 4th year of racing on an Suzuki SV650 #66 in Bemsee's MRO Minitwins championship. In the first round things did not look great with a top finish of 9th over the entire weekend, at the 2nd round things started looking alot better, getting my first podium with a 3rd place. Entering the 3rd round on a high after my podium, I managed to grab pole position and battle with the champion to another two podium finishes. A 3rd and my first win. After this I began battling at the front every round pushing for podiums and race wins. Half way through the year MRO Minitwins had a 'support' round at BSB's Cadwell Park, I managed to get both wins with a 3.8s gap at the end of both races. Battling at the sharp end for the rest of the year I finished the season as Junior Minitwin Champion, and runner-up in the main MRO Minitwins championship.

As the 2010 season has finished, I have been offered a ride on a 2008 Yamaha R6 with Go Racing Developments to race in MRO Stocksport 600 for 2011. Since the end of the 2010 season I have been testing on the R6 and I am really getting to grips with the power and feeling of the bike. I have a good feeling for the 2011 season, I will be giving 110% at every round, every race and every lap. If all goes according to plan, I am hoping to enter a BSB round as a wildcard towards the end of the year. Then hopefully enter and race a full BSB Superstock 600 season.
